Probably the best way to make money blogging is to promote affiliate products in a subject that you are interested in.

You can find affiliate products to promote on Google and you can write posts about the product on your blog and then as traffic grows you will make money.

Or you can add Adsense which you can sign up for free and get loads of traffic by posting your blog to other like minded blogs and building a little community.

The key to making money blogging is to keep it updated and just keep on posting!
